We’re excited to introduce The Briefing Room – a brand-new concept designed to immerse guests in the world of Prison Island before they step into their first cell.

After checking in, teams unlock the room using their game tag, just as they would any cell. Inside, the atmosphere shifts. The lights dim, the curtains frame the screen, and with one press of the red button, Rose Zanetti welcomes them into the story of the Island. What follows is more than just a game briefing—it’s the first chapter of the adventure.

The Briefing Room combines themed interior design, cinematic lighting and immersive sound to create an experience that feels like stepping into a hidden 1920s cinema inside the prison. It’s designed to build anticipation, cover the essentials and set the mood before the first challenge begins. The briefing automatically adapts to each team’s language, either by switching the spoken language or by adding subtitles to the English version.

Just like every great host, your staff remain at the heart of the guest experience. The Briefing Room simply gives every visit an unforgettable opening scene—one that welcomes guests into the Prison Island universe from the very first moment.

From now on, The Briefing Room will be included as a standard feature in all new Prison Island projects. Existing locations can also upgrade with the complete concept for €15,000, making it easy to bring the same cinematic welcome to your guests.

The very first Briefing Room has been installed at Prison Island Brussels Anspach, and the feedback from both guests and staff has been very positive so far. We can’t wait to see more locations bring this experience to life.

We’re excited to introduce Rent-a-Cell – a brand new concept that makes it easier than ever to expand and refresh your Prison Island site.

Instead of purchasing new cells, franchisees can rent a package of three modular cells with no upfront investment. We take care of installation, decoration, IT, and future cell replacements, making it a simple and flexible way to keep your venue fresh and attractive.

Why Rent-a-Cell?

• No upfront investment.
• Three fully installed Prison Island cells.
• Option to replace the cells with brand new designs every second year at no extra cost.
• A flexible way to increase capacity and keep your attraction up to date.
• Running monthly rent of 865 EUR.

The Rent-a-Cell concept is initially available for European franchisees and is designed to make expansion easier while supporting a more sustainable way of updating Prison Island locations.

🚀 Ready for Levels?

We’re excited to share the overall plan for how Levels will be rolled out during 2026 across all Prison Island locations.

Below, you’ll find an overview of what needs to be prepared before installation, along with a breakdown of the different installation categories.

📄 Attached to this email, you’ll also find a PDF showing which installation category your location belongs to and which quarter (Q1–Q4) your implementation is planned for. The list is sorted alphabetically by location name for easy reference.

A more detailed, location-specific plan will be shared closer to your scheduled implementation date.

Please note that we have 100+ locations to upgrade. To ensure a smooth and well-coordinated rollout, installations will be carried out step by step. We kindly ask for your patience — not all sites can be upgraded at the same time 🙏

✅ Requirements Before Installation

To ensure a smooth and successful upgrade, all of the following must be completed before installation:

1. Sensor Test

A 100% successful sensor test for all cells is required before the installation date. If this is not completed, we unfortunately cannot start the upgrade.

2. Temporary Closure

Your location must be closed for 1–2 days during the installation period.

3. Staff Required On-Site

Two staff members must be available on-site during the closure days. We need:

- English-speaking staff available for testing and troubleshooting

- At least one person with technical experience

📱 Most communication during the installation will take place via WhatsApp, in English.

Installation Categories

Each location will fall into one of the categories below:

🟢 Remote Installation – Ready for Levels

• No hardware changes required.

🟡 Remote Installation – Minor Upgrades

• Minor hardware updates such as: Router replacement or additional server disk storage

🟠 On-Site Installation – Moderate Upgrades

• Moderate on-site upgrades may be required, such as: server, network, raspberry Pi units

🔴 On-Site Installation – Major Upgrades

• More extensive upgrades, which may include: server and network changes, raspberry Pi units, BoB, LEDs, screens, in some cases, cell replacements

If you have any questions at this stage, there’s no need to worry — more details will be shared closer to your implementation date. For now, we recommend reviewing the attached PDF and the information in this email to get an overview of what to expect.

During 2025, Prison Island took another big step regarding production and installation service and capacity. A daughter company to the head office in Sweden was created in Slovakia – Prison Island s.r.o. – and a workshop was acquired in Lehota nad Rimavicou in central Slovakia.

A lot of formal activities have been carried out during the past year, including registration and approval processes for all future construction work planned. Base construction has also been ongoing, and the workshop has been expanded and upgraded with new safety facilities.

The intention is to use the extensive experience of our great Slovak team to further develop modules and increase production capacity, in close cooperation with the Västerås workshop.

So far, 19 of our fantastic carpenters have been employed by Prison Island s.r.o. and will have the workshop as their base when they are not out on projects, creating new amazing Prison Island installations.

Hi there, The World Cup 2025 has come to an end – and what a journey it has been!

We’ve seen incredible engagement from teams around the world, but just as importantly, we’ve seen fantastic commitment from you, our franchisees.

Many of you have hosted Local Finals and Country Finals, supported teams, shared photos and videos. The atmosphere across all locations has been amazing, and the level of organization and passion you’ve shown has truly elevated the World Cup experience this year.

🌍 The World Final in Oslo

The World Final in Oslo was a huge success.

A total of 24 teams from 11 different countries competed at the highest level, delivering excitement, teamwork, and strategy at its absolute best. We couldn’t be prouder of the energy and the incredible community that made this year’s final so special.

And in the end…

Here comes a major update in the history of Prison Island – and we’re thrilled to finally share it with you. This is the biggest step forward since we first started back in 2004.

And that step is called Levels ✨

We truly believe Levels will transform the way our guests play, talk about, and return to Prison Island. It’s a true game-changer for players, sites, and our development going forward. To give you the full picture, we’ve created a launch video where Anders explains the concept and what it means for the future. We hope you all take the time to watch it below.

🔍 What We’ve Seen So Far

This summer, Levels was successfully tested in Västerås with very positive results. Visitors were thrilled – spending more time at the site and even creating a new kind of buzz: “We reached Level 3 in Basket!”

We’ve kept a close eye on the statistics, and even though these are early results, one thing stands out: guests want to play more when Levels are active. Levels creates a strong desire to replay, giving guests more value from each cell and extending their playing time.

Level 1 also acts as a natural introduction, helping players understand the game better and sparking motivation to continue into higher levels.

📅 The Plan going Forward

From January 2026, all new sites will be installed with Levels. A dedicated Levels team will support the rollout at existing sites. The implementation plan has been shared with all franchisees.

Behind the scenes, all cells are now updated with a new game code (48 in total), running on net-boot for smoother operations.
